magic-exttools: compile fails with clang; activation fails

i installed magic but ext2spice dont work it gives error like

dlopen(/opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttospice.dylib, 6): Symbol not found: _DBTechName
  Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttospice.dylib
  Expected in: flat namespace
 in /opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttospice.dylib

so I search in macports and I found magic-exttools. I dont know whether it will solve my problem or not. but this magic-exttools when i try to install gives error.

"sudo port install magic-exttools configure.compiler=llvm-gcc-4.2" ...works... but it says Image error: /opt/local/bin/ext2sim is being used by the active magic port. Please deactivate this port first, or use 'port -f activate magic-exttools' to force the activation.

I installed magic so will this force activation will create problem with magic or will solve problem of ext2spice

When I was working on updating the magic port recently I did not know that we had a magic-exttools port, and I don't know what it's for. I'll have to investigate. If the port is still needed, we may want to integrate it into the magic port as a subport, since it seems to share a distfile at least with the magic port already.

Ya please update it as in magic port ext2spice is not working.

magic-exttools: replaced_by magic

This port was created ten years ago because apparently the ext2sim and
ext2spice programs provided by the magic port didn't work:

That ticket didn't explain in what way they didn't work, but perhaps it
was as described in another ticket filed six years ago. If so, I am
unable to reproduce that problem today, so this plus the current
inability to build magic-exttools at all and it being years out of date
supports replacing it with magic.

magic-exttools did also install sim2spi, which magic does not install,
however it can't ever have worked since it references /usr/bin/nawk
which does not exist.
