"No ports are installed" means what it says: MacPorts thinks no ports are installed. If you think otherwise, then there's a problem on your system... Note that when upgrading the OS version, you'll need to uninstall and reinstall all ports anyway; see wiki:Migration; doing so will likely have the side effect of fixing this problem.

    33My port version is 2.1.2 and I did run "sudo port selfupdate".  As you can guess I'm not in familiar territory so if you can instruct to run tests, if need be, just let me know.  Thanks!
