    1 I'm very keen to get the Macports port of Pandoc installed successfully. Unfortunately, I'm a complete noob when it comes to Haskell, C/C++ and gcc. Might anyone here would be willing to hold my hand through the process of fixing this bug?

Might anyone here would be willing to hold my hand through the process of fixing this bug? I mean, I'm not even sure where to begin: I don't understand quite how r104471 is related, nor how to figure out which would be the right args to put in which portfile(s) to get everything working.
