Same error here after port selfupdate to 2.2.0 release.
The error message "xinstall usage" suggest a problem with the command line but I can't find the xinstall program installed,
even though the source file is installed in /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/base/src/pextlib1.0/ .
