As reporter, you do not need to Cc yourself.

This does not qualify as a high-priority issue.

py27-mysql already offers you the choice of mysql. Just select the +mysql55 variant, for example, if that's what you want. 

sudo port install py27-mysql +mysql55

    33The reason is that the dependency "mysql5" fails to install due to a failed checksum.  There is a ticket open for this with the mysql5 maintainer, which says that "mysql5" is deprecated and a more recent version should be used:
