    1 Have you looked into IPv4 vs. IPv6? Your speedtest might use IPv4 and be perfectly fine while the download from the macports mirror uses IPv6 and is slow (e.g., via a tunnel or something; Windows machines have been known to advertise their Toledo tunnels on local networks, causing problems like these).
