    11I completed the proposed workaround as follows:

    3 1) update macports.conf by uncommented the host_blacklist and added github.com

    5 2) I ran the sudo port clean and install

    7 3)  The build was successful !

    9 4) I commented back the host_backlist and saved this version of the macports.conf

    11 5)  I re-ran port self update and  upgrade outdated

    139It looks like it picked up all of the other updates ...apache, mysql and others so that I think I should have a full update !
