    896896P.S.  Do not attempt to run the tests -- pytest.py or pytest3.py.  They only appear to work once hamlib is installed using "sudo make install".  The instructions on the website appear to be wrong with respect to the tests.

    898 P.S.  If all goes well, hamlib should be installed in /usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages and /usr/local/lib/python3.9/site-packages.  The user may need to set the PYTHONPATH variable so other applocations can find hamlib.
