    1 It is possible to have `librsvg` installed without having `pango` installed, because `librsvg` depends on the presence of `lib/pkgconfig/pango.pc` (which I had on my system, but not the expected version), which the `pango` port as a fallback for when that file does not exist (https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/blob/master/graphics/librsvg/Portfile#L26):
