    66I am not sure how to produce an installable source archive from this. Or try to "cheat macports" and jump to destroot stage by modifying .macports.ghc.state file?

     8UPD. Well, I did exactly that, jumping to destroot stage by copying relevant folders from expanded payload. I only had to manually delete dylibs prior to that, since port file could not handle it. 7.0.4 installed and I am rebuilding 7.6.2 with it now. So far it seems working.
