    1 It's putting it's internal -L flag in the wrong place, after the externally supplied LDFLAGS (which include `-L/opt/local/lib`). So it ends up linking to the installed non-universal version of itself, instead of the copy in the build dir.

    33A workaround would be to uninstall the port first.
