/opt/local/bin/zpaq already exists and does not belong to a registered port. Unable to activate port zpaq. Use'port -f activate zpaq' to force the activation.

Where did your /opt/local/bin/zpaq come from? MacPorts is telling you it did not put it there.

You can force the activation as suggested in the message to rename your /opt/local/bin/zpaq (and potentially other associated files).
