python310 @3.10.9+lto+optimizations requires to be rebuilt

I've tried to install neovim, which has a dependency on python310, which for some reason didn't install cleanly and required to be rebuilt (a big waste of time), although ​https://ports.macports.org/port/python310/details/ says that it should work fine on Catalina

Neovim launches fine even without rebuilding the port, but then I get a constant nag that this ports needs to be rebuilt every time I install something. Is there a way to avoid that?

(also, where are the logs that describe why the installation didn't succeed and the rebuilt is required, couldn't find anyting in /opt/local/var/macports/logs)
