    3 Late one night, you create a symlink because you think it is a good idea, probably years ago -- and it messes you up in ways you can never imagine for year later... all your issues with libgit2 stem from that. There is nothing wrong with macports, libgit2 upstream, or cmake -- it's just your setup that is hosed up.
