Pallet helper and pallet crash

Description
Pallet worked when I installed it the other day (29 Dec 09), but now it crashes. I have upgraded installed and Macports since then and have installed some ports. See attached crash reports. When I run pallet.app, pallet helper seems to crash first, then pallet.app, a few seconds after the pallet.app window opens successfully

Further, after uninstalling, cleaning and installing using the port commands, I uninstalled again, then installed the dmg package, which works without crashing. Maybe the helper is the problem?

Did you install using the Pallet port, or download the binary from MacPortsGUI?

I think the original install was via the port install. The current one that works is via the dmg binary.

The dmg comes from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/users/juanger/Pallet.dmg
