texlive-bibtex-extra @26726 +tex Install error: no destroot found

I'm using OS X 10.6.8 with XCode version 3.2.5. My version of MacPorts is 2.1.2. I had the texlive-bibtex-extra port installed until I did a selfupdate and tried to upgrade this it. The update failed so I uninstalled the texlive-bibtex-extra port and tried to install it again. Now I get the following error.

When I try:

sudo port install texlive-bibtex-extra

I get the following error:

Error: org.macports.install for port texlive-bibtex-extra returned: no destroot found at: /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_tex_texlive-bibtex-extra/texlive-bibtex-extra/work/destroot
