Ettercap 0.6b malfunction

Description
When ettercap starts up it issues 255 ARP requests (Depending on netmask) to enumerate the active clients on the subnet. It only returns 1 active client, namely the machine it is running on. On exit the output shows:
(ec_inet_macosx:538 write() 42(-1) | ERRNO : 47 | Address family not supported by protocol family)
