py?25?-logilab-common fails to compile because of bad argument to easy_install — at Version 1

I get the same exact error as shown below when I attempt to install py-lint. FWIW python 2.4 should be deprecated as it's no longer supported upstream...

Port: py-lint added; py25-lint removed

It doesn't seem right at all that py-lint depends on py25-logilab-common.

For the --no-user-cfg error, you just need to upgrade python25.
