Apparently #18452 was updated since I last looked at it. Trying the recommendations by jonas now.

First set python 2.5 as default, instead of 2.6. Cleaned, (force) uninstalled, (force) installed py25-pyqt4 and py25-sip. Now it works without Bus errors.

This can be closed now.
