The Wine ports file should at least be able to be smart enough to reinstall dependencies as +universal.

Considering I have a fresh MacPorts install and installed wine today on Snow Leopard and it installed everything x86_64 then shat itself when building wine seems pretty stupid. The ports file should be smart enough to indicate +universal for wine on Snow Leopard.

Thanks for providing this "useless" bug report. It is the first one that comes up in Google. I'm sure others will come here to looking for answers. toby@ should have said you will need to reinstall all of the dependencies with +universal. I found the command "port provides" which I had to use several times to reinstall dependencies of dependencies. Perhaps someone knows of a better way of doing this and reply with a useful comment too?
