please make this port building deterministic - fetching from HEAD is a total desaster! Also switching version inside a variant is really bad.
Please rather create a gdal-devel port, that fetches from CVS with at least a timestamp.

would you two mind to -update gdal -create a new gdal-devel port and remove the evil version switch inside the "devel" variant -make the gdal-devel port deterministic by NOT fetching from cvs-HEAD, but at least give a timestamp

Write permission somehow to /opt/local/share/xastir/maps needs to be figured. I resist 0777 perms on directories.

ok, just updated gdal to 1.3.1 - this should be fixed now;
gdal support update
