Similar to ticket #22618 it's not safe for software built from within MacPorts to have an auto update functionality as it will wreak havoc with the ports.

Should be fixed by r81780.
I didn't yet increase the revision number, so users are not seeing this as an update. I want to wait for the buildbot to verify GitX still builds with my changes applied on Snow Leopard.
