Description

Brad Giesbrecht found a seemingly abandoned, but very useful tool to create icns files called "makeicns".

We updated it a little with a newer IconFamily class to get rid of some deprecation warnings on OS X 10.6.

The Makefile is still rudimentary, but building works fine and the Portfile takes care of installing the executable.

We want to suggest this neat tool for inclusion into MacPorts, because it could help in creating icns files, e.g. for the auto-creation of icons for starter apps like the one we recently introduced for kmymoney. As soon as makeicns is available via MacPorts we'll file an update for kmymoney's portfile to make use of this tool.

We hope that hosting the files on bitbucket.org poses no problem, since authenticity of the downloaded files from there is guaranteed through the checksums.
