rancid should probably be updated to 2.3.6.

The livecheck should probably also be fixed:
$ port livecheck rancid rancid seems to have been updated (port version: 2.3.4, new version: 2.3.2)

livecheck isn't checking the master_sites; it's checking rancid's freshmeat listing, which is out of date. I fixed the livecheck to look in the master_sites directory in r77343.

Ryan. any idea why livecheck reports 2.3.2 as latest when it isn't even present in mastersites? The tar files use standard naming so I don't understand why the defaults don't work here.
