Description
the current lablgtk2 portfile make it depends on librsvg, which itself depends on metacity (yes, the gnome window manager) and then gnome-themes and many other gnome related ports. This is really annoying, since it is often the case one of those ports is broken.
I suggest, before bug #2459 (remove this librsvg dep against metacity) is solved, to add a variant librsvg to lablgtk2.
It's just a workaround for another annoying problem, but it can also help improving darwinports, providong more flexibility with variants (and since no port that i know depends on this feature of lablgtk2, it is harmless, even if the "new" deps engine is not out soon)

Maintainers of ports shouldn't be CC'ed, the bugs should be assigned to them. In any case, darwinports-bugs@ should be CC'ed for others to look at the bugs.

proposition of patch for lablgtk2
