The reporter sent me email commenting:

The changeset states that fix r82550 is implemented for OSX Tiger with Tcl version 8.4, but I am running OSX Leopard with Tcl version 8.5 (though version 8.4 is also installed).

I didn't remember when I committed r82550 that Leopard also used Tcl 8.4, but the fix applies to all systems where the Tcl version is less than 8.5. I updated the comment in r82560 to mention that this includes Leopard.
