xine-lib build fails - "ar: no archive members specified"

Hi,

I wold like to install kde api to try the kde ical and contact. Te install kde, the xine-lib is required but I can't compile it (see attachment).

can you help me

This was not a clean build attempt. Please clean and try again.

sudo port clean xine-lib

If it fails again attach the new main.log.

That log still contains lines "Skipping completed" which shows it is not a clean attempt. Please "sudo port clean xine-lib", then try building xine-lib again, then attach the main.log to this ticket.

xine-lib is not required to compile kde. The only way I see to have xine-lib as a dependency for kde is to set the variant "xine" to kde4-runtime, which is reported as unsupported in the portfile:

Compiling without this variant should enable installation.

Version 1.2.1 seems to be building OK on 10.7 now.
