Macports upgrade to 2.1.0 breaks ROOT installation

Reported by: watsodw Owned by: cjones051073 (Chris Jones)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.1.1
Keywords: Cc: mattiafrancescomoro@…, neverpanic (Clemens Lang)
Port: root

Description

The Macports upgrade to 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 have completely broken my ROOT installation to the point I have had to remove it. Macports kept reporting that the install was broken and kept trying to fix it by reinstalling, but it kept failing. I have tried to reinstall ROOT with no variants but it too fails.

Please also run sudo port -d -y rev-upgrade and attach the output.

Does this still happen with root 5.34.00? If yes, which variant installs the xproofd binary? My installation with default variants seems to only install a manpage for xproofd, but not the binary itself.

Assigning to maintainers.

Are you still seeing this problem? It builds and runs fine for me with Macports 2.1.2.
