php-libev new port request

Reported by: watermark.nielsen@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Low Milestone:
Component: ports Version:

Port: php-libev

Description

Request for a PHP extension: https://github.com/m4rw3r/php-libev

It's used by the http://reactphp.org project, if that's relevant.

I'm not sure what level of maturity a project has to reach to be included into MacPorts or if it's more appropriate for the author to submit these.

I'm happy to add PHP extensions to MacPorts, but I would prefer if they are either hosted on PECL, or else have a downloadable tarball of source code and a corresponding version number. If you can ask the php-libev developers to create a tag in their github repository for version 1.0 or whatever version number they have released, then we can use that.

OK, sorry, that makes a lot of sense. I filed a ticket in their project so the maintainer should be aware at least: https://github.com/m4rw3r/php-libev/issues/4

If it makes sense to close this for now, that's fine. It can always be re-opened when the extension is ready.

Thanks for the helpful replay!

I added the port in r101244. It's available for php53, php54 and php55.

Since upstream still hasn't declared a version number, I invented a version number for the latest commit and used that.
