Wow, what a godawful name for a piece of software.
The Environment Modules package provides for the dynamic modification of a user's environment via modulefiles.

OP, is the tclx that Environment Modules asks for the same one that we have a port for? If so, we'll have to solve #38603 before this can be ported.

There seems to be a portfile at https://github.com/cooljeanius/Environment-Modules , is it ready to go into MacPorts?

Ah, I see it's for an old version: 3.2.10 https://github.com/cooljeanius/Environment-Modules/blob/master/MacPorts/sysutils/environment-modules/Portfile Ubuntu 18.04 has 4.1.1, for example.

oh right that's mine; I should probably move the Portfile to https://github.com/cooljeanius/LocalPorts so that I remember to test it more often...

It would be great to have it...
Homebrew does: https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/modules
Should probably be titled "Port request: Modules" or something for clarity...
