need to add something along the lines the below to the port. I'm not certain this is sufficient to make it ignore openssl in /usr but it should be.... (untested!)

depends_lib port:openssl configure.env CPPFLAGS=-I'${prefix}/include/openssl' LDFLAGS=-L'${prefix}/lib'
