py27-matplotlib @1.2.1 - plotting horizontal histogrammes raises error

Description

Trying to plot a horizontal histogramme using plt.hist raises an error. Can be reproduced following ​https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/pull/1985. This has been fixed in matplotlib already (​https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/commit/b776730a0f5954ad58b649b2c00879fe92ad8eca) but exists in the most recent update to py-matplotlib in Mac Ports. I have only tried py27-matplotlib.

I just installed py-matplotlib@1.3.0 where the problem no longer occurs.
