Compiling the latest root on Mac OS X 10.7 results in:

*Shrug* ... Builds fine for me on OSX 10.9, and built fine on 10.7 in the buildbots.

not sure what to suggest, from your log rmkdepend works fine for a while, then just stopped.... Have you tried cleaning and running again ? what variants are you using ? Could you first try with the defaults, and see if that works...

Let's close this issue as works-for-me. I'll reopen it in case I figure out how to reliably reproduce it. At the moment I'm not bitten by this any longer and I have no reliable explanation for that.
