perl5.12 fails build due to make depend in subdirectory

Performing a 'port upgrade --enforce-variants outdated +universal' Got to perl5.12 and failed:

Upstream no longer maintains perl5.12 and MacPorts no longer ships it, so I'm closing this ticket as outdated. If there are still issues with perl5.22, please open a new ticket.
