If librecad 2 isn't going to be made compatible with older versions of OS X, then please make separate librecad and librecad2 ports, marking the OS compatibility of each as appropriate.

Actually there might be some debate on proper naming for the two ports. Options include, probably in decreasing order of preference:

  • LibreCAD (current version) and LibreCAD1 (version 1)
  • LibreCAD2 (version 2) and LibreCAD (version 1)
  • LibreCAD2 (version 2) and LibreCAD1 (version 1)

Version: 2.2.1

From the current Portfile it looks like the issue was solve in a different way: LibreCAD is not @2.0.3 and for ${os.major} < 13 there is some magic.

So can this ticket be closed?

This ticket is quite outdated and hasn't got a reply in fifteen months. Meanwhile the port has been bumped to 2.0.8 with a single version carried on. Also the portfile couldn't have been accepted the way it was.

Closing the ticket.
