Computing dependencies for wget Error: Dependency 'gmp' not found.

Trying to install wget via macports on a 10.9.5 system and get following error:

sudo port install wget ---> Computing dependencies for wget Error: Dependency 'gmp' not found. To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide:

Error: Processing of port wget failed

Installed libiconv-1.14 thinking it needed that, but did not help. Same error.

any way to get wget installed? User needs this now. (of course)
