(gpsbabel has moved to github)

Builds fine both universal and non-universal on Mavericks.

Committed in r144635.

But there are some (unrelated) serious problems left in the port: to start with, it includes some Qt headers that are not declared as dependency anywhere, but on the other hand it doesn't create an .app (which in my opinion it should, at least as a +gui variant). See #50321.

mp: can you please send a pull request for the patch upstream?

(I didn't experience any problem building without the patch, but I didn't test the universal build and the patch makes certain sense, so I added it.)
