#50695 closed defect (duplicate)

harfbuzz-icu @1.1.3: cc1plus: error: unrecognized command line option "-std=c++0x"

Reported by: desmith@… Owned by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.3.4
Keywords: lion Cc:
Port: harfbuzz-icu

Description

Part of an extended upgrade tree for texlive. I have upgraded harfbuzz; no other dependencies listed that are not up to date. Have cleaned and retried this two times to check. Failure seems consistent. I have looked for other related tickets, but do not see anything close to this.

Duplicate of #50254. If you were really using Xcode 4.6.3, llvm-g++-4.2 would not have been used; clang++ would have been used. This suggests you are not actually using Xcode 4.6.3, or not using the Xcode 4.6.3 version of the command line developer tools. Please ensure you update both.

Thank you for this.

Although 4.6.3 was installed (to fix another problem), version 4.1 was still being shown in response to the command /Developer/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version Installing device support for 4.6.3, and moving 4.1 and 4.1.1 to the trash, has fixed the problem.
