Probably don't need change 'CFLAGS += ...' to 'CFLAGS = ${CFLAGS} ...' for Xcode 6 and above (GNU Make 3.81)

gzrecover: Update to version 0.8

Fixes broken patch phase of previous version. Removes universal variant
as it unnecessarily complicates the Portfile.

Thank you for the patch! However, I opted to fix this by updating the port to version 0.8.
