Description
Attempting port install texlive-common fails on all mirrors with 404 not found. One (sensible) URL attempted is: https://distfiles.macports.org/texlive-common. I can confirm that 2017.1 does not exist here (no 2017 version does). Log attached.
Have the mirrors and port file fallen out of sync?

I did that originally; however, I thought in the past there was an "owner" field I could specify. For example, https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets suggests there is an owner field as well as a CC field.

Only Macports team members can set the owner field.

Understood, sorry for misremembering. Hopefully the Owner/CC field stating:
Full email address or GitHub username of the port's maintainer. Run port info --maintainer <portname> to look this up. Do not add <nomaintainer@…> or <openmaintainer@…>. For ports with multiple maintainers, only put the first maintainer into the Owner field and all others in the Cc field. You do not need to Cc yourself.
can be updated to make it clear that the submitter, if not on the team, cannot populate the owner field.

As a workaround for this bug, http://giraffe.cs.washington.edu/texlive/ appears to be down but the file needed can be obtained from http://alpaca.cs.washington.edu/texlive/ and placed where MacPorts expects it.

I added another mirror so it is still available.
However, the bigger problem is that the distfiles mirrors did not mirror this port, or most of the other texlive ports. Ryan, can you look into that?

We are not mirroring files automatically; see #53347.
I have mirrored texlive-common's files manually.
Thank you for updating the owner. Strangely, I can't see that field when I initially enter a ticket (see attached) thought I thought it used to be there. This is in Safari on macOS 10.12.6.
