Description
subject says it all; 1.66.0 was released Monday Dec 18. Getting this ticket in place for the inevitable requests to update boost. I'll work on updating locally & post a patch / tarball that works for me for others to test.

At least in my initial testing, Boost 1.66.0 is highly compatible with 1.65.1. Some deprecated methods have been removed, but there are alternatives offered & so patching is pretty easy. I'll attach the patch (which is also very simple). I'll admit that I didn't test out all variants, just the defaults. Hopefully others can test this further.

Indeed. We updated to 1.66.0 -long- time ago (2018-02-16): https://github.com/macports/macports-ports/commit/89ad08de23379d8b91ac48df6e73066a663b458c
