Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))

I tried to install the latest version of Inkscape (https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-0.92.4/mac-os-x/macports/dl/) via macports. Xcode is installed up to the latest version to help with install. However, when I run the sudo port install inkscape command, the message I get back two warning messages:

  • "xcodebuild exists but failed to execute"
  • "Xcode does not appear to be installed"

Again, I am running the latest version of Macports (2.5.4), with Xcode fully installed, including its components. How do I fix this so I can correctly install the latest version of inkscape?

In the future, please use WikiFormatting, fill in the Port field with the port that fails to build and Cc the port maintainer(s) (port info --maintainers inkscape).

MacPorts runs xcodebuild -version to determine the installed Xcode version. If you run that in Terminal I suspect you will see the problem.
