While trying to install yaws it fails with the following error message 

Error: Failed to build yaws: command execution failed
Error: See /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_macports_release_tarballs_ports_www_yaws/yaws/main.log for details.
Error: Follow https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets to report a bug.
Error: Processing of port yaws failed

Line 1270 in the main.log file points at the problem 

:info:build epam.c:2:10: fatal error: 'pam_appl.h' file not found
