1) I would recommend you submit your Portfile as a pull request against the macports-ports project in Github: ​https://github.com/macports/macports-ports You can view current Pull Requests to see pending Portfiles for submitted by others.

2) Your cargo.crates stanza could benefit from consistent spacing. The macports-contrib project has a script that generates the stanza from a V1 Cargo.lock file: ​https://github.com/macports/macports-contrib/blob/master/cargo2port/cargo2port.tcl
