Port: qt4-mac

Description (last modified by jmroot (Joshua Root))

I have been getting the following error(s) when trying to install sbcl:

Error: qt4-mac does not currently build on Mac OS X later than 11.1 'Big Sur'.
Error: Failed to fetch qt4-mac: unsupported platform
Error: See /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_macports_release_tarballs_ports_aqua_qt4-mac/qt4-mac/main.log for details.
Error: rev-upgrade failed: Error rebuilding qt4-mac
Error: Follow https://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets to report a bug.

Any workaround to this problem? Thanks!

This is exactly the same as #61886 but with a new 11.n version. Having to patch the port for every new minor OS release seems rather suboptimal.

Micheal, want to set the minor blocker at 9 or something, and accept the whole 11.x series on faith?

@kencu : yup ... that seems like a wise way to go ... let me check that out on the ARM Mac, which is now running 11.3-beta

of course, qt4-mac doesn't build on ARM64 .. -way- too old :)

I'll update to just look for > 11 rather than 11 & > 9 ... that way we should be good for a while :)
