Big Sur 11.2

Either

  1. Command (⌘)-R, or
  2. "Replace" via GUI

is not working in Kile.

  1. Launch Kile
  2. Attempt "replace" via 1) or 2) above
    i) Enter "Search" String. Ok.
    ii) Type first letter of "Replace" string, and:
  3. (Mac) Pinwheel starts and goes and goes and goes...

(I do not know to whom this anomaly should be reported, so I am submitting it here.)

I am not certain it is a BigSur-specific problem, but I indeed cannot reproduce that issue on my system (10.15.7).

It is just a guess, but if indeed the freeze happens even before initiating a search of a replace, this might be more of an interface problem than in the actual Kile code, considering that there is no automatic search to my knowledge.
