MacPorts currently provides guile 1.8 and 2: 

$ port search guile
guile @2.2.7 (lang)
    GNU's Ubiquitous Intelligent Language for Extension (guile)

guile18 @1.8.8_7 (lang)
    GNU's Ubiquitous Intelligent Language for Extension (guile)

This is a request to provide guile 3.0 so that it can be used as a dependency for other packages.

Due to the several existing dependencies of guile, and issues with how to provide multiple versions simultaneously, this is more than what I am able to take on.
