Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling harfbuzz, and then try again?

thanks. after dealing with the following, the issue is solved. 

Error: Failed to activate harfbuzz: Image error: /opt/local/bin/hb-ot-shape-closure is being used by the active pango port.  Please deactivate this port first, or use 'port -f activate harfbuzz' to force the activation.
