Description
This port has never been updated since it was submitted over 12 years ago in #18502. New releases corresponding to new Linux kernel versions continue to be published.

I personally do not use this port. Given how it dates from fairly early in BTRFS’ existence, I would discourage using it with an actual BTRFS partition, if doing so from macOS is even possible.
I am not requesting it be updated. This port has never had a bug or previous update request filed against it. Surprisingly, there 2 reported installations of it. But I feel somewhat against its inclusion in MacPorts, given the lack of interest in maintaining it, plus the relative importance that it work properly if used. I would prefer it be removed, rather than updated and be neglected all over again. I will probably at least open a port abandoned ticket (edit: opened as #64299), if nothing happens to this port soon.
