#65234 new defect

libfilezilla 0.25.0: Fails to build using gcc7 on PPC Tiger

Reported by: paulpall (Paul Johannes Aru) Owned by:
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.7.2
Keywords: powerpc tiger Cc: lothar.haeger@…, mascguy (Christopher Nielsen), barracuda156
Port: libfilezilla FileZilla

Description (last modified by paulpall (Paul Johannes Aru))

I'm no expert, but looking at the log it looks like the problem stems from a loop in the invoker.cpp code. (Mac OS 10.4.11, 1.5GHz PPC G4, 1.25 GB RAM)

This port was just updated by @barracuda156, including fixes for Tiger and PPC.

Can you update your ports tree, and try again with the latest version?

Tried that today, no dice I'm afraid. main log still mentions an undeclared loop in invoker.cpp.

Sergey builds most of his stuff on 10.6 ppc or rosetta, manually using gcc12 and libgcc12 I believe, so what he sees may not be reflective of what most macports users might see…. this is assuming it built for him, which he said it did.

Someone who uses a standard macports setup on these older ppc systems will need to dig in on this and see what is going on.
